The openSUSE project has announced its intention to generate additional intermediate respin builds, in addition to the builds published once a year during the next release. Respin builds will include all package updates backlogged for the current release of openSUSE Leap, thus reducing the amount of network downloads required to bring a freshly installed distribution up to date.
ISO images with intermediate rebuilds of the distribution are planned to be published quarterly or as needed. For the openSUSE Leap 15.3 release, respin builds will be numbered "15.3-X". After the release of the next respin build, the old build will be removed from the get.opensuse.org site.
