The Xfce project moved development to GitLab

Developers of the Xfce project announced the about completion transition to a new development infrastructure based on the GitLab platform. Previously, a bunch of cgit and gitolite were used to access code repositories. The old git.xfce.org server has been moved to read-only mode, you should use instead gitlab.xfce.org.

Migrating to GitLab will not result in changes affecting users and package maintainers, but developers will need to change the reference to Git in their local copies of the repositories, create an account on the new server with GitLab (can be linked to a GitHub account), and ask on IRC or the list mailing the necessary credentials.
