Allwinner has developed the V316 processor for use in high-definition sports camcorders.
The product includes two ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at up to 1,2 GHz. Equipped with HawkView 6.0 image processor with intelligent noise reduction.
Work with H.264/H.265 materials is supported. Video can be recorded in 4K (3840 Γ 2160 pixels) at 30 frames per second.
It is noted that the Allwinner V316 chip also allows you to shoot videos in Full HD (1920 Γ 1080 pixels) at 120 frames per second. When HD format (1280 Γ 720 pixels) is selected, the frame rate reaches 240 fps.
The Allwinner V316 chip is manufactured using 28nm technology. Claimed power consumption is 2W when recording 4K high-definition video.
The Allwinner V316 processor will become the basis of inexpensive action cameras.
