The provider of the Tor anonymous network website received a notification from Roskomnadzor

The story of problems with connecting to the Tor network in Moscow and some other large cities of the Russian Federation continued. JΓ©rΓ΄me Charaoui from the Tor project sysadmin team published a letter from Roskomnadzor forwarded by the German hosting operator Hetzner, which hosts one of the mirrors of the torproject.org website. The project did not receive the letters directly, and the authenticity of the sender is still in question. The letter indicates that the site www.torproject.org has been included in the unified registry of domain names used to identify sites containing information prohibited for distribution in the Russian Federation.

If no measures are taken to remove prohibited information, access to the www.torproject.org website in the Russian Federation will be limited. What exactly the violation consists of is not indicated, since the letter is only a typical notification template without detailing information about the violation. The Roskomnadzor registry already has an entry about the www.torproject.org domain, but it does not imply blocking, is dated 2017 and is associated with the old decision of the Saratov District Court.
