Studio rose-engine announced the horror Signalis in the style of anime pixel art. The game will be released on PC, but no release date has been announced yet. Rose-engine is also interested in releasing Signalis on consoles, but is currently focused on one platform only.
In Signalis, you'll uncover a dark mystery, solve puzzles, fight nightmarish creatures, and travel through dystopian, surreal worlds as Elster, a replica searching for her lost memories.
After her ship crashes on a distant snowy planet, Elster's replica seeks out a missing member of her crew. In search, she roams the ruins of a seemingly abandoned underground labor camp. There, she has surreal visions of cosmic horror and memories of a past that does not belong to her.
The heroine is forced to explore the camp more deeply to find out what happened to her and why. But cryptic coded radio signals and a hostile voice are not the only obstacles she has to overcome along the way.
As rose-engine points out, when creating Signalis, the studio is inspired by the classic Silent Hill and Resident Evil. The gameplay of the project is a tribute to the memory of the "golden era of horror".
