One of League of Legends' old heroes, Fiddlesticks, is getting a visual update. To celebrate this, developers from Riot Games presented a new video. It only lasts a minute, and the harbinger of doom itself appears briefly in it, but the video fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the champion.
Viewers watch as two Demacian soldiers set up camp in the ruins of a structure deep in the forest. The camera shows us the point of view of one of the warriors. They chat idly about magicians when suddenly they are distracted by a bump in the night and the shrill cry of crows in the distance.
One of them, it seems, was dragged into the forest by someone, we only hear the victimβs calls for help - the second fighter goes to the voice, meets the decaying corpse of a comrade there and sees Fiddlesticks, who at the very end of the video rushes at the viewer. The video is quite atmospheric and frightening, despite its short duration.
Let's remember: Fiddlesticks is an eerie animated scarecrow, wandering in the darkness with a terrible scythe in his hands and reaping his harvest - the lives of unwary travelers. He was once accused of bringing famine to his village. He was tied up and left to starve to death in his own barren field. When a wild flock of crows fed on Fiddlesticks's remains, he rose from the dead and became a monster. Having overtaken the victim, he first thoroughly enjoys its fear, and only then does it die - in a whirlwind of feathers and bloody beaks.

Recently, a fan poll revealed that the two champions most in need of a visual overhaul were Fiddlesticks and Volibear. Riot listened to the requests of players and presented an update to the first one. Later, the developers will talk about the changed Volibear.
