Purism announced the pre-order for a new laptop model Librem 14

Purism has announced the start of collecting pre-orders for a new Librem laptop model - Librem 14. This model is positioned as a replacement for Librem 13, codenamed "The Road Warrior".

The main parameters:

• Processor: Intel Core i7-10710U CPU (6C/12T);
• RAM: up to 32 GB DDR4;
• screen: FullHD IPS 14" matte .
• gigabit ethernet (not available in Librem-13);
• USB version 3.1: 2 x type A and XNUMX x type C.

Added support for 2 external monitors with UHD resolution (4K@60Hz) via HDMI and USB-C. (USB-C has support Power Delivery and can also be used to power a laptop.)

The dimensions of Librem-14 and Librem-13 are the same. The 14-inch screen is installed due to the smaller size of the frames around the screen. Hardware switches "Camera / microphone" and "Wi-Fi / Bluetooth" are placed on the front panel above the keyboard.
Librem-14 comes with PureOS Linux distribution.

$300 pre-order discount. The base configuration (contains 8 GB of RAM and a 250 GB SATA drive) is available for $1199 (with discount).
The planned start of shipment is the 4th quarter of 2020.
