Qt 3D Studio 2.4

A new version of Qt 3D Studio, an editor for creating three-dimensional interfaces and interactive presentations from the Qt framework, has been released.

One of the main innovations is a radical increase in the performance of the runtime component on desktop video cards compared to the previous version - 565%, according to developers' own measurements. This increase is explained by the return to the use of OpenGL and the rejection of the transition to the native Qt 2D component that was outlined in the 3.x branch versions. There is also the ability to dynamically create and add objects to the scene and support for transforming custom materials using vertex shaders.
