American chip maker Qualcomm announced the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program to provide smart cities with solutions based on its technologies.
Qualcomm's Smart Cities Accelerator program will be a one-stop shop for governments, municipalities, cities and businesses to select technology providers, the tech giant says.
βProgram participants represent a wide range of hardware and software vendors, cloud vendors, system integrators, engineering and manufacturing companies, and end-to-end smart city solutions companies,β explains Qualcomm.
Among the participants of the program is the operator Verizon. Mrinalini (Lani) Ingram, vice president of Verizon's Smart Communities division, says Qualcomm's program will help make smart cities a reality around the world.
