Rambler made a claim to the nginx source code. Search in the Moscow office of Nginx, Inc.

One of the Nginx employees, Igor Ippolitov, published a message on Twitter that the Nginx office was being searched. He was forced to delete the tweet and screenshots of the search warrant at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but left a copy.

According to the investigation, unidentified persons at an unspecified time (before October 2004) placed the enginix program (nginx) in the public domain, indicating that the exclusive right to it belongs to Igor Sysoev, while knowing that the program is a service work, and therefore, the rights to it belong to Rambler. Then unidentified persons registered the company "Enginix Inc" (NGINX, Inc) to continue illegal use, modification and distribution of the program, thereby causing damage to Rambler on an especially large scale.

"Unidentified persons" in the future will probably be the founders of Nginx, Inc. Igor Sysoev and Maxim Konovalov. There is informationthat they are detained.

Press service of Rambler confirmedthat the Internet holding has a claim.
