If you believe the published information, the high-performance product will receive eight processing cores in a "1 + 3 + 4" configuration. This is one Kryo core based on ARM Cortex-A77 with a clock speed of up to 2,84 GHz, three more similar cores with a frequency of up to 2,42 GHz and four Kryo cores based on ARM Cortex-A55 with a clock speed of up to 1,80 GHz.
The graphics subsystem will include a powerful Adreno 650 accelerator, operating at a frequency of up to 587 MHz. Support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 flash drives is mentioned.
In terms of overall performance, the Snapdragon 865 processor will outperform its predecessor (Snapdragon 855) by about 20%. The increase in the speed of the graphic node will be from 17% to 20%.
The Snapdragon 865 will be made using 7nm technology. The chip is expected to be available in versions with a 4G and 5G modem.
The novelty will become the basis of the flagship smartphones of many manufacturers: such devices will be released next year.
