About a week and a half ago, we recall information appearedthat Sony is developing a kind of cartridge that looks like cartridges for classic game consoles like the eight-bit Dendy. Later they began to speak assumptionsthat in this form, replaceable solid-state drives for the future flagship PlayStation 5 console will be produced.

Now, however, completely different information has been released. As shown in the promotional video (below), the mystery cartridges are for the Sony toio children's gaming system, not the PlayStation 5 at all.

Concept toio provides for the control of small robotic cubes, on which you can attach, for example, the body of a toy car. Such cars will be able to move, say, on special mats depicting streets, roads, houses, etc. Control is carried out with the power of a ring-shaped controller resembling a car steering wheel.

Thus, the PlayStation 5, which will hit the market next year, is likely to do without removable solid state drives. As for the built-in SSD, its capacity will be 2 TB.
