The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted Samsung a series of design patents for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
All published documents have the same laconic name "Drone" (Drone), however, they describe different versions of drones.
As you can see in the illustrations, the South Korean giant is ruminating on a UAV in the form of a quadcopter. In other words, the design provides for the use of four rotors.
In doing so, Samsung is considering different body configurations. For example, it can have a round shape or a square shape with rounded corners.
Unfortunately, no technical details are provided in the documents. But it is obvious that the equipment will include various sensors and a camera for photo and video shooting from the air.
Patent applications were filed by the South Korean giant back in April 2017, but developments have only just been registered. So far, however, it is not clear whether Samsung plans to release commercial drones with the proposed design.
