Publisher THQ Nordic and studio Grimlore Games have unveiled a new Fallen God expansion for SpellForce 3, their mix of real-time strategy and RPG. It will be independent, will be released this year and will be dedicated to a new gaming faction - trolls.
According to the description, a small tribe of nomadic trolls under the leadership of the young leader Akrog moves through the continent of Urgat, seeking only one thing: to survive. Poachers exterminate them for their fangs, the disease claims the lives of their relatives - hope fades away every day. At this moment, a mysterious elf offers a chance for salvation: you just need to resurrect the fallen deity...
The developers say that Fallen God is a standalone game with a separate plot. To dive into the dark and exciting story of the universally unloved trolls, you need to know the events of SpellForce 3 or SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest. In this case, we are talking about a full-fledged single-player campaign for about 15 hours of playthrough.
The player's mission will be to guide the new playable faction - the trolls - through a thorny path, while exploring the secrets of the new continent of Urgat. At the same time, new abilities and branches of the skill tree will give additional freedom in the development of heroes. Thanks to the mechanics of creating characters and the variability of the passage, you can replay the campaign several times: the player's decisions will determine which ending will become reality.
As usual, you have to develop your tribe, complete tasks, communicate with key characters and fight in various parts of the new continent, including mysterious dungeons and dark caves. The game will be released on PC this year - a more exact date has not been announced. On the page Russian localization in the form of subtitles and interface is promised.
