The developers of Beyond Good & Evil 2 still have not decided on the direction of the game

IGN interviewed Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot about the state of development of Beyond Good & Evil 2. It looks like the game is still very far from complete.

The developers of Beyond Good & Evil 2 still have not decided on the direction of the game

In December last year, Ubisoft revealed a lot of information about Beyond Good & Evil 2, and also announced that it will conduct beta testing in 2019. But then there was no news about the game. β€œI spoke with Michel [Ancel] last week about where the game is going – how we should be moving in one direction or another. We see that the potential of this universe is fantastic and Michel is really passionate about it. I think it will be fantastic,” Guillemot said.

The Ubisoft CEO's words are pretty vague. But from them you can understand that the development of the game is still at an early stage of creating the world, and the team is rushing from one direction to another. Ubisoft previously announced that Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be an online co-op project. Players will be able to become space pirates and go on an open world adventure in one of the multi-planet star systems.

The protagonist of Beyond Good & Evil 2 carries a sword, a pistol, and a jetpack as their primary equipment. Players will also be able to upgrade their character and weapons with augmentations that add special abilities and allow them to experiment with the combat system. And spy glasses will help you see the equipment of enemies. They display other characters' stats, skills, and upgrades, as well as revealing more detailed information about locations and points of interest - even from space.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 won't release until 2020.
