In a conversation about the future of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the executive said that the developers plan to support the project over the next twenty years. They want to see their battle royale relevant even after such a long time.

Dave Curd said: “I want people to still be playing this game 20 years from now. We want to continue to tell stories and provide new experiences. It seems to me that [such a scenario] is possible.”

The studio head then revealed which of the game's maps the developers will update after Sanhok: "I don't know when [that will happen], but I'm looking at Miramar since it was the first location that PUBG Madison worked on in collaboration with the Seoul division. We need to think about this decision.”
