Game studio Frozenbyte has published a video with a 15-minute demonstration of the gameplay of the space simulator Starbase. In it, the developers showed battles on ships, as well as battles with weapons in their hands in the middle of space.
Starbase is a multiplayer online game set in a space setting. The main task for players will be the construction of spaceships and stations. To do this, they will need to extract resources, engage in trade and participate in battles. Users will also be able to enable sandbox mode to explore the universe with their friends.
The external environment will be completely destructible. The game will also feature interesting gameplay solutions related to structural simulation of materials. For example, a fuel leak can cause a spacecraft to stall, or a gas leak can melt some parts of the ship. Also, if the ship is poorly designed, powerful engines can break the ship in half.
Starbase will be released on Steam before the end of 2019.
