In total, Kiryu will have four fighting styles:
- Brawler - standard punches and kicks;
- Rush - fast-paced combos that can cause player characters to pass out.
- Breaker Style - Kazuma uses heavy items like barrels in battle.
- Dragon of Dojima - Grants Kiryu access to three secret moves (parry, repulse, and powerful retaliation).

The two current patriarchs of the Tojo clan, Goro Majima and Taiga Saejima, have radically different fighting styles: the former relies on the unpredictability of attacks and his blade, while the latter prefers to hit less often but harder.
In certain situations, the characters can cooperate to attack together: Saejima spins Majima by the legs while he swings his blade. You cannot evade this approach.
In addition to the listed heroes, the current chairman of the Tojo clan, Daigo Dojima, will also look into the new part from past Yakuza games, but it seems that the protagonist of Yakuza: Like a Dragon is not destined to fight with him.
According to the director of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Toshihiro Nagoshi, the listed characters are destined for roles of different sizes. Kazuma Kiryu, among other things, can be called to help the protagonist.
The PS4 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be released in Japan on January 16, and in the rest of the world will appear before the end of this year. IN the developers demonstrated the main features of the project.
