The implementation of XFS in the 5.10 kernel will solve the 2038 problem before the year 2486, it implements "big dates". Now the date of the file cannot be greater than 2038, which, of course, is not tomorrow, but not in 50 years. The change postpones the problem for 4 centuries, which is acceptable at the current level of technology development.
