At first glance, the Buds Air Neo look exactly like the regular version of the Buds Air TWS headphones that Realme recently officially released to the Russian market. However, upon closer inspection, differences are still found. The "legs" of the Buds Air Neo headphones do not have a silver ring, as well as visible dual microphones, like the older model. This may speak in favor of the absence of an active noise reduction system.

The Buds Air Neo uses 13mm drivers. The earbuds will ship with a charging case that will provide a total of 17 hours of battery life thanks to the ability to recharge. By themselves, the headphones are only capable of three hours of battery life.

The original Buds Air use 12mm drivers and come in a USB-C charging case with wireless charging support. Buds Air Neo will not receive the latter, as the novelty is positioned as a more affordable option. The case is equipped with a Micro-USB connector and does not have a wireless charging system.

The budget version, like the older one, uses a dual data channel (each earbud is connected to the sound source separately), and also offers a low latency mode. Realme claims it reduces latency by 50% compared to normal mode.

Like the older model, Buds Air Neo immediately syncs with your smartphone when you open the case. Headphones have touch control. It allows you to answer calls, pause and resume music playback, change music tracks, as well as call the voice assistant and turn on low latency mode. The Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection is used to exchange data with a mobile device.

The company has not yet announced the cost of new items, but the Indian store Flipkart previously reported that the cost of the Buds Air Neo will be about $40, which is $13 cheaper than the regular version of the Buds Air.

The announcement of new items is expected on May 25. Along with it, Realme will also present its first smart watch and smart TV Realme TV.
