Realme XT: debut of a smartphone with a quad camera based on a 64-megapixel sensor

The Realme XT smartphone with a quad camera has been officially unveiled and will go on sale in the coming days at an estimated price of $225.

The device is equipped with a Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen measuring 6,4 inches diagonally. A panel with a resolution of 2340 Γ— 1080 pixels is used, protected from damage by durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

There is a small cutout at the top of the display: there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor and a maximum aperture of f/2,0. A fingerprint scanner is built into the screen area.

The rear quad camera uses a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 (f/1,8) sensor as the main module. In addition, an 8-megapixel unit with wide-angle optics (119 degrees; f/2,25) and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors are used.

The computing load is carried out by the Snapdragon 712 processor. The chip contains two Kryo 360 cores clocked at 2,3 GHz and six Kryo 360 cores clocked at 1,7 GHz. The Adreno 616 accelerator handles graphics processing.

The new product includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2,4/5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5 adapters, a GPS/GLONASS receiver, a USB Type-C port, an FM tuner and a 3,5 mm headphone jack. Dimensions are 158,7 Γ— 75,16 Γ— 8,55 mm, weight - 183 g.

The smartphone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Operating system: ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie).

  • 6 GB RAM and 64 GB flash drive - $240;
  • 8 GB RAM and 128 GB flash drive - $270.
