The Redmi brand, formed by the Chinese company Xiaomi, is about to introduce a new router for home use, as reported by network sources.
The device appears under the code designation AX1800. We are talking about preparing a Wi-Fi 6 router, or 802.11ax. This standard doubles the theoretical throughput of a wireless network compared to 802.11ac Wave-2.
Information about the new Redmi is published on the Chinese certification site 3C (China Compulsory Certificate). And this means that the official presentation of the router is just around the corner.
It should be noted that the Wi-Fi 6 router - the AX3600 device - recently Xiaomi itself. This device (shown in the images) uses the Qualcomm IPQ8071 chip, which enables operation in the 2,4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. The peak data transfer rate reaches 1,7 Gbps.
The technical characteristics of the Redmi AX1800 router have not yet been disclosed. But it is noted that the novelty will be cheaper than the Xiaomi AX3600 model, which costs about $90.
