Vivaldi 3.6 browser release

Vivaldi 3.6 browser release

Today the final version of the Vivaldi 3.6 browser on the open core Chromium was released. In the new release, the principle of working with groups of tabs has been significantly changed - now when you switch to a group, an additional panel is automatically opened, which contains all the tabs of the group. If necessary, the user can fix the second panel for the convenience of working with multiple tabs.

Other changes include a further expansion of context menu customization options - menus for all sidebars have been added, the appearance of a lazy loading option for web panels - this allows you to speed up the launch of the browser in the presence of many custom web panels, as well as updating proprietary media codecs for Linux systems up to version 87.0.4280.66.

The new version of the browser has a lot of fixes, including incorrect switching of tabs when closing the active one, the problem of exiting the full-screen video view mode, the wrong name of the page shortcut placed on the desktop.

The Vivaldi browser uses its own synchronization system, which avoids possible problems due to a change in Google's policy on using the Chrome Sync API.
