CrossOver 22.1 release for Linux, Chrome OS and macOS

CodeWeavers has released the release of the Crossover 22.1 package, based on the Wine code and designed to run programs and games written for the Windows platform. CodeWeavers is one of the key contributors to the Wine project, sponsors its development and returns to the project all the innovations implemented for its commercial products. In the new version:

  • The vkd3d package with the Direct3D 12 implementation working through call translation to the Vulkan graphics API has been updated to version 1.5.
  • Improved support for WineD3D library with DirectX 1-11 implementation based on OpenGL. More than 3 changes have been moved from wine to WineD400D.
  • Resolved compatibility issues with the Ubisoft Connect update.
  • Fixed Adobe Acrobat Reader 11 crashing when running on Linux.
  • Resolved dependency issues when using Fedora 37 and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed.
  • The version of the SDL library has been updated.
  • Improved support for game controllers, such as support for the Xbox Elite Series 2.
  • The macOS build now supports 32-bit DirectX 10/11 games, including the ability to play Command and Conquer Remastered Collection, Total War ROME II - Emperor Edition, BioShock Infinite, and Magicka 2.*, among others. Resolved issues with blank windows and fixed GTA Online crashes.
