CrossOver 25.0 release for Linux and macOS

After a year of development, CodeWeavers has released the Crossover 25.0 package, based on Wine code and designed to run programs and games written for the Windows platform. CodeWeavers is one of the key participants in the Wine project, sponsors its development and returns to the project all the innovations implemented for its commercial products. In the new version:

  • The codebase has been updated to Wine 10.0 (the previous release used Wine 9.0).
  • The Wine Mono engine with .NET platform implementation has been updated to release 9.4.0.
  • The Vkd3d package with Direct3D 12 implementation has been updated to version 1.14.
  • The MoltenVK package with the Vulkan API implementation on top of the Metal framework has been updated to version 1.2.10. The DXMT package with the Direct3D 11 implementation on top of the Metal API has been included. The D3DMetal package with the Direct3D 12 implementation on top of the Metal API has been updated to version 2.1.
  • The macOS build offers a new database that automatically applies settings specific to certain games. Added support for GOG Galaxy and Epic Games Store services. Improved support for Red Dead Redemption 2, Tekken 8, Age of Mythology: Retold, Path of Exile 2, Elite Dangerous, Monster Hunter Rise, Hero's Land, Manor Lords, Fallout 76, and Far Cry 6.
  • On Mac systems with Apple Silicon processors, we've added support for Street Fighter 6, Need for Speed ​​Heat, Nioh 2 — The Complete Edition, Teardown, Age of Wonders 4, Dragon's Dogma 2, and The Last of Us Part 1.
