  • The kali-linux-large metapackage offered during installation and configuration includes a pwsh shell package that allows you to execute scripts for PowerShell directly from Kali (kali-linux-default PowerShell is not included in the default package set).

  • Extended support for ARM architecture. In ARM builds, the use of the root account for login has been discontinued. Up to 16GB, the requirements for the size of the SD card for installation have been increased.   • Wishes with criticism of the new installer are taken into account. The kali-linux-everything metapackage (installing all packages from the repository) has been removed from the installation options. Simultaneously prepared release NetHunter 2020.2, environment for mobile devices based on the Android platform with a selection of tools for testing systems for vulnerabilities. With the help of NetHunter, it is possible to check the implementation of attacks specific to mobile devices, for example, through emulation of the operation of USB devices (BadUSB and HID Keyboard - emulate a USB network adapter that can be used for MITM attacks, or a USB keyboard that performs character substitution) and create rogue access points (MANA Evil Access Point). NetHunter is installed into the stock Android platform environment in the form of a chroot image that runs a specially adapted version of Kali Linux.

Of the changes in NetHunter 2020.2, support for the Nexmon wireless network monitoring mode and frame substitution for
