Exim 4.93 release

The Exim 4.93 mail server was released, which included the results of work over the past 10 months.

New opportunities:

  • Added variables $tls_in_cipher_std and $tls_out_cipher_std containing cipher suite names corresponding to RFC name.
  • New flags have been added to control the display of message identifiers in the log (set via the log_selector setting): “msg_id” (enabled by default) with the message identifier and “msg_id_created” with the identifier generated for the new message.
  • Added support for the "case_insensitive" option to the "verify=not_blind" mode to ignore the case of characters during verification.
  • Added experimental option EXPERIMENTAL_TLS_RESUME, which provides the ability to resume a previously interrupted TLS connection.
  • Added the exim_version option to override the Exim version number string displayed in various places and passed through the $exim_version and $version_number variables.
  • Added ${sha2_N:} operator options for N=256, 384, 512.
  • Implemented "$r_…" variables set from routing options and available for use in making routing and transport decisions.
  • Support for IPv6 has been added to SPF lookup requests.
  • When performing checks via DKIM, the ability to filter by types of keys and hashes has been added.
