Took place release of a desktop-oriented distribution GhostBSD 19.04built on the basis True OS and offering a custom MATE environment. By default, GhostBSD uses the OpenRC init system and the ZFS file system. Both Live mode and installation to a hard drive are supported (using its own ginstall installer written in Python). Boot images formed for amd64 architecture (2.7 GB).
In the new version:
Codebase updated to FreeBSD 13.0-CURRENT experimental branch;
Added support for the ZFS file system on MBR partitions to the installer;
Removed ZFS-related default settings in TrueOS to improve installation support on UFS;
Instead of slim, the Lightdm session manager is used;
Removed gksu from distribution;
Added "boot_mute" mode for booting without displaying the log on the screen;
Added a block of settings for the download manager to the installer rEFInd.
