Usually minor releases are for bug fixes, but Kdenlive 20.08.2 comes with a set of changes worthy of a major release.
Kdenlive (KDE Non-Linear Video Editor) is an open source non-linear video editor based on the MLT Framework and KDE.
Apart from some memory leak fixes and usability improvements in this version:
- returned the automatic scene splitting function
- added experimental GPU profiles for rendering
- added proxy generation and timeline preview rendering
- added new cropping effect
- improved handling of projects with missing clips
- improved project loading
- fixed display of volume indicators in the audio mixer
