Kubuntu 20.04 LTS has been released - a stable version of Ubuntu based on the graphical environment KDE Plasma 5.18 and KDE Applications 19.12.3.

Thunderbird is now installed by default instead of KMail.
Elisa is now installed by default instead of Cantata.
KDE PIM, Kmail and Kontact are no longer installed by default. You can download them from the repository.
Support for KDE4 and Qt4 libraries and applications has been discontinued.
Basic support for Wayland (you need to download the plasma-workspace-wayland package). Full-time work is not yet guaranteed.

The update from version 18.04 LTS will be available in June after the release of the first point release 20.04.1.

Expect an update from version 19.10 soon.
