Memcached 1.5.13 release with TLS support

Took place release of in-memory data caching system Memcached 1.5.13, which operates on data in key/value format and is easy to use. Memcached is usually used as a lightweight solution to speed up high-load sites by caching access to the DBMS and intermediate data. Code supplied under the BSD license.

The new release is remarkable adding TLS support for organizing an encrypted communication channel with Memcached. It is possible to separately configure the reception of connections with TLS and without TLS, for example, to bind encrypted access to an external network interface and leave the ability to connect without encryption through the loopback interface. The TLS implementation prepared by Netflix is currently positioned as experimental and requires OpenSSL 1.1.0 for assembly (older versions are not supported for security reasons and due to performance issues in multi-threaded applications). Client libraries for accessing Memcached using TLS have not yet been prepared (you can use regular libraries with forwarding through a proxy).
