The new release is remarkable TLS support for organizing an encrypted communication channel with Memcached. It is possible to separately configure the reception of connections with TLS and without TLS, for example, to bind encrypted access to an external network interface and leave the ability to connect without encryption through the loopback interface. The TLS implementation prepared by Netflix is ββcurrently positioned as experimental and requires OpenSSL 1.1.0 for assembly (older versions are not supported for security reasons and due to performance issues in multi-threaded applications). Client libraries for accessing Memcached using TLS have not yet been prepared (you can use regular libraries with forwarding through a proxy).
