Release of the out-of-memory handler oomd 0.2.0

Facebook published the second release oomd, a user-space out-of-memory (OOM) handler that operates.
The application forcefully terminates processes that consume excessive memory before the Linux kernel’s OOM handler activates. The oomd code is written in C++ and is provided is licensed under GPLv2. Pre-packaged binaries are prepared for Fedora Linux. You can learn more about the features of oomd in the announcement text of the first release.

Release 0.2.0 includes numerous updates and file rearrangements aimed at simplifying the packaging of oomd for Linux distributions. A new flag ‘—list-plugins’ has been added to display the list of active plugins. A plugin for detecting certain cgroups in the system has been added. A socket server has been added to handle statistics requests.
