Release of the IceWM 3.1.0 window manager, which continues the development of the concept of tabs

The lightweight window manager IceWM 3.1.0 is now available. IceWM provides full control through keyboard shortcuts, the ability to use virtual desktops, the taskbar and application menus. The window manager is configured through a fairly simple configuration file, it is possible to use themes. Built-in applets are available for monitoring CPU, memory, traffic. Separately, several third-party GUIs for customization, desktop implementations, and menu editors are being developed. The code is written in C++ and distributed under the GPLv2 license.

The new version continues the development of the tab-based window management mechanism. A special indicator has been added to the window title that allows you to judge the presence of tabs and switch between them (previously, switching was carried out using a keyboard shortcut or menu, and the tabs themselves were not highlighted in any way). It is allowed to use your own set of options in the tab (winoption). Added a new "frame" window option to automatically tab group application windows with a single "frame" value. Ensured that tab bindings are saved after a restart. In the list of windows, the display of tabs is implemented. Improved Alt+Tab behavior for tabbed windows.
