The free proprietary torrent client Tixati 2.86 has been released, available for Windows and Linux. Tixati excels in giving the user more control over torrenting at a memory footprint comparable to clients such as µTorrent and Halite. The Linux version uses the GTK2 interface.
Major changes:
- Significantly redesigned WebUI:
- Categories are implemented, as well as the ability to add, delete, move, filter hands and a number of other actions.
- Hand names now have "private", "created", or "partial" indicators.
- The peer list now shows additional information such as flag and location.
- Significantly improved the output in the form of a list (“list layout”), which has become more compact. Added tooltips for very long filenames.
- Provided CSS substitution directly into the HTML template to avoid flickering on load.
- WebUI HTTPS server auto-generated TLS certificates now use the SHA256 algorithm.
- Fixed a bug in the GTK file selection dialog that caused the last directory not to be remembered.
- Minor fixes in the Add Category window.
- Updated built-in table for linking location to IP addresses.
- Minor changes to the built-in HTTP client used for trackers, RSS, and updating IP Filter rules.
- Updated TLS libraries used for WebUI HTTPS server and outbound HTTPS connections.
