The Superpaper program has been released - a tool for fine-tuning wallpaper in multi-monitor systems under Linux (but also works in Windows). It was written in Python specifically for this task, after developer Henri HΓ€nninen stated that he could not find anything similar.
Wallpaper managers are not very common, because. most people only use one monitor. However, the program has a number of useful features and settings.
Examples of such possibilities:
- Stretching one image to all displays.
- Set up a separate image for each display.
- Using a slideshow from the selected source.
- Graphical and console interface.
- Minimize to tray.
- Hotkey support.
As well as advanced features:
- PPI correction.
- Bezel correction.
- Support for manual pixel shift.
- Alignment testing tool.
The program supports many DEs such as: Budgie, Cinnamon, Gnome, i3, KDE, LXDE, Mate, Pantheon, SPWM, XFCE.
The Superpaper binary includes all dependencies and is 101 mb in size. You can also use a script, but then you will have to resolve all dependencies yourself.
