Release of free video editor Avidemux 2.7.6

Available new version of video editor Avidemux 2.7.6, designed to solve simple problems of cutting video, applying filters and encoding. A large number of file formats and codecs are supported. Task execution can be automated using task queues, writing scripts, and creating projects. Avidemux is licensed under the GPL and supports Linux, BSD, MacOS and Windows.

  • Displays a warning if trim locations in H.264 and HEVC video streams may cause future playback problems, even if they are within keyframes;
  • Added AV1 decoder based on libaom;
  • Added VP9 encoder based on libvpx;
  • Added deinterlacer with resize function, using hardware acceleration based on VA-API (Linux only);
  • FFmpeg updated to version 4.2.3;
  • The maximum supported resolution has been increased to 4096Γ—4096;

  • Support LPCM audio in MP4 multiplexer by silently switching to MOV multiplexing mode;
  • Added Vorbis support to MP4 multiplexer;
  • Added HE-AAC and HE-AACv2 profiles in the FDK-AAC encoder;
