Release of the free financial accounting system GnuCash 4.0

Took place release of a free system of individual financial accounting GnuCash 4.0, which provides tools for tracking income and expenses, maintaining bank accounts, managing information about shares, deposits and investments, and planning loans. With GnuCash, small business accounting and balance sheet (debit/credit) is also possible. Data import in QIF/OFX/HBCI formats and visualization of information on graphs are supported. Project code supplied licensed under GPLv2+. There is variant of GnuCash for Android.

Π’ new release the gnucash-cli utility is presented, which allows performing various financial functions, such as updating the price list and generating reports, on the command line without launching a graphical interface. A new dialog "Association of transactions" has been proposed and the ability to add associations to invoices, reversal transactions, invoices and vouchers has been implemented.

Column widths are now stored not for each account, but in relation to journal types such as currency,
inventory, payables and receivables, employee and supplier ledgers. The search has been modernized - the results are now dynamically updated as you enter a search phrase. Added support for AQBanking 6 and improved import in OFX format. Source texts have been restructured, building GnuCash now requires a compiler with support for the C++17 standard, for example, gcc 8+ or Clang 6+.
