Canonical Company presented distribution's first corrective release Ubuntu LTS 20.04.1, which includes updates for several hundred packages related to the vulnerabilities ΠΈ problemsaffecting stability. The new version also fixes bugs in the installer and bootloader. The release of Ubuntu 20.04.1 marked the passage of the basic stabilization of the LTS release - users of Ubuntu 18.04 will now be prompted to upgrade to the branch 20.04.
Similar updates to Ubuntu Budgie 20.04.1 LTS, Kubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, Ubuntu MATE 20.04.1 LTS, Ubuntu Studio 20.04.1 LTS, Lubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, Ubuntu Kylin 20.04.1 LTS, and Xubuntu 20.04.1 LTS are simultaneously presented. It makes sense to use the presented assemblies only for new installations, systems installed earlier can receive all the changes present in Ubuntu 20.04.1 through the standard update system. Support for the release of updates and security fixes for the server and desktop editions of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS will last until April 2025.
