A new version of Cine Encoder 3.1 video converter for working with HDR video in Linux OS has been released. The program is written in C++, uses the FFmpeg, MkvToolNix and MediaInfo utilities in its work, and is distributed under the GPLv3 license. There are packages for major distributions: Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch Linux.
In the new version, the design of the program has been improved, the Drag&Drop function has been added. The program can be used to change HDR metadata such as Master Display, maxLum, minLum, and other parameters. The following encoding formats are available: H265, VP9, ββAV1, H264, DNxHR HQX, ProRes HQ, ProRes 4444.
The following encoding modes are supported:
- H265 NVENC (8, 10 bit)
- H265 (8, 10 bit)
- H264 NVENC (8 bit)
- H264 (8bit)
