XMage 1.4.35 Release - Alternatives to Magic The Gathering Online

Another release of XMage 1.4.35, a free client and server for playing Magic: The Gathering both online and against a computer (AI), has taken place.

MTG is the world's first collectible fantasy card game, the progenitor of all modern CCGs like Hearthstone and Eternal.

XMage is a multi-platform client-server application written in Java using the Swing graphical toolkit.

Application features:

  • access to all 18 unique cards released over the 20-year history of MTG;
  • automatic control and application of the rules of the game;
  • multiplayer mode with the search for players on a shared server;
  • single player mode with the game against the computer (AI);
  • dozens of formats and game modes (Standard, Modern, Vintage, Commander and more);
  • the possibility of holding both single matches and tournaments.

What's new in this version:

  • Full support for the new, not yet released War of the Spark map set, with all maps and game mechanics;
  • Almost 300 new cards;
  • Added support for CTRL/SHIFT/ALT hotkeys;
  • Added the ability to switch between chats using F12;
  • Improved work with connecting and disconnecting from the server;
  • Improved Rich Man mode, incl. added saving settings with selected sets;
  • Added deck import from XMage and MTGO draft logs;
  • Numerous improvements in AI for more stable computer gaming;
  • Improved compatibility with MacOS.
