Additionally, Nintendo announced a retail collector's edition of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. It will include a game cartridge in an iron case, an art book, a soundtrack on a stylized vinyl record and a poster.

The action of Xenoblade Chronicles takes place on the bodies of the deceased titans Bionis and Mechonis, clashing in the middle of a boundless body of water, thousands of years after the end of the battle.

According to the plot, one of the colonies on the β€œcorpse” of Bionis, where organic humanoids appeared over time, is attacked by the Mechons, the β€œresidents” of Mechonis. A team of friends and the legendary sword Monado will help the young man Shulk in the fight against robots.

As part of the trailer dedicated to the announcement, the main features of the remaster were revealed: in addition to graphics improvements, the game will receive an updated interface, an additional epilogue chapter of Future Connected and newly recorded music tracks.

The Japanese release of Xenoblade Chronicles for the Nintendo Wii took place in 2010, and the European release in 2011. The game was ported to Nintendo 3DS in 2015. The project has impressive ratings on Metacritic 92 points out of 100.
