Publisher 505 Games and developers from Remedy Entertainment began publishing a series of short videos designed to introduce the public to Control without spoilers. The first video dedicated to the adventure with elements of metroidvania was a video about the game and briefly showing the environment:
"Welcome to Control. This is modern New York City, and the action takes place in the Oldest House, the headquarters of a secret government organization known as the Federal Bureau of Control. You play as Jessie, a young woman who is looking for answers about her past. She has been drawn to the Oldest House by a mysterious force and discovers that the building has been taken over by a dark, paranormal entity known as the Hiss. Chosen as the new director of FBK, Jessie must fight to regain Control, βsays the voice-over in the video during a demonstration of various picturesque and sometimes otherworldly locations of the game.
The second cutscene tells that the former director of the FBK is dead, and the Oldest House and its inhabitants are damaged by the Hiss. The building itself has warped and now defies the physical laws of our world. Sinister forces lurk in an ever-changing environment. Players will have to use any means in the struggle to regain Control in these difficult conditions. We are shown the rebuilding levels of the game, some opponents and the supernatural skills of the heroine:
For fans ΠΈ It's not long to wait: Control will be released on August 27 in versions for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Price is β½1299. The action movie will feature an exclusive mission for PlayStation 4 owners. Also, owners of the Sony console will receive DLC as part of the Season Pass earlier than users of other platforms.
