Final Fantasy VII remake still planned to be released in episodes

At a recent State of Play presentation, Square Enix presented the long-awaited new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake. The publisher did not release any news, but promised to share the latest information next month. Somewhat later, he confirmed that he still plans to release the game in episodes.

Square Enix press release repeatedthat there are still plans to split Final Fantasy VII Remake into episodes. This is not at all surprising, given the scope of the original game. This also means that the episodes following the first one are likely to be released on next generation consoles.

The Final Fantasy VII remake is being produced by key creators of the original 1997 game, including producer Yoshinori Kitase, director Tetsuya Nomura, and screenwriter Kazushige Nojima. The remake will introduce an expanded look at the project's characters and offer cutting-edge graphics.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently only announced for PlayStation 4.
