The Russian robot Fedor, preparing to fly to the International Space Station (ISS), has received new capabilities, as reported by the RIA Novosti online publication.

Fedor, or FEDOR (Final Experimental Demonstration Object Research), is a joint project of the National Center for the Development of Technologies and Basic Elements of Robotics of the Advanced Research Foundation and the Android Technology NGO. The robot is able to perform a wide variety of operations, repeating the movements of the operator, dressed in a special suit.

Not so long ago сообщалосьthat the copy of the robot that will fly to the ISS has received a new name - Skybot F-850. And now it has become known that the car has acquired the functions of a voice assistant. In other words, the robot will be able to perceive and reproduce human speech. This will allow him to communicate with astronauts and carry out voice commands.

According to TASS, in the near future the robot will be delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome to the assembly and test building. Skybot F-850 will go into orbit on the Soyuz MS-14 unmanned spacecraft at the end of this summer. The robot will stay aboard the ISS for about a week and a half.
