Pagan Online, an action role-playing game about Slavic myths, is out in Early Access on PC

The Belarusian company Wargaming and the Serbian studio Mad Head Games announced the release of the action role-playing game Pagan Online in early access. The game can be purchased at Steam и Wargaming.net for 1299 rubles.

Pagan Online takes place in a universe inspired by Slavic myths. Players will face hordes of monsters and terrifying bosses as they progress through the campaign (available in three difficulty settings). There are also additional modes with challenges and rewards. The more you upgrade all your game characters, the more challenges will open up for you.

“In just over a year, we've built a decent foundation that makes our intentions clear,” said Jacob Beucler, chief product officer at Pagan Online. “We want to develop this foundation by adding what the players need. And early access is the ideal mechanism for this. How long we spend in Early Access will depend on how players rate the game. Now it seems to us that we will leave early access for a full release this year.”

In the early version, players will have access to eight characters with their own abilities and styles, as well as three difficulty levels to complete the story campaign, which consists of five acts. In addition, there is a system of Heritage points (allows you to level up faster), item creation and the pantheon (a central location where you can meet other players). Activities: daily assignments, weekly events, missions, hunting and elimination. Characters can also change their appearance and emotions.

“We respect the laws of the genre and appreciate the spirit of the old school. However, this genre is filled to the brim with games that can be played with the monitor turned off,” said Yaropolk Rush, director of publishing at Pagan Online. — We are going to bring action back to Action RPG. At the same time, we would like to avoid the “visionary trap” and not make a game that will only be understood 30 years later and included in textbooks. We want lots of people to enjoy Pagan Online now. And in order to successfully balance between visions of the future and the reality of today, we need direct communication with the players."

Early Access members will receive an exclusive reward in the form of the Archmage Wodward travel companion pet. If you take it with you into battle, monsters will give you 7% more gold.
