Roskomnadzor proposed rules for isolating the Russian Internet

On May 2019, XNUMX, the president signed the so-called “sovereign Internet” law, designed to ensure the stability of the Runet in any situation. It is assumed that preventive measures will help preserve the Russian segment in case of attempts to limit its functioning from the outside. And yesterday, Roskomnadzor prepared a draft "On Approval of the Rules for Routing Telecommunications Messages in the Case of Centralized Management of the Public Communications Network."

Roskomnadzor proposed rules for isolating the Russian Internet

The rules, to put it simply, imply that the operators of Russian communication networks, on demand, must provide such a mode of data transmission in which the latter would not actually leave the territory of the country.
