Ruselectronics holding, which is part of the Rostec State Corporation, has created a specialized device for satellites of the European Space Agency (ESA).
We are talking about a matrix of high-speed switches with a control driver. This product is intended for use in space radars in Earth orbit.
The device was designed at the request of the Italian supplier ESA. The matrix allows spacecraft to switch to either transmit or receive a signal.
It is argued that the Russian solution has a number of advantages compared to foreign counterparts. In particular, the device is approximately one and a half times cheaper than imported products.
Moreover, according to a number of characteristics, the Ruselectronics device surpasses foreign developments. So, the total losses are no more than 0,3 dB, and the total decoupling (signal suppression between certain inputs or outputs of the device) is not less than 60 dB. At the same time, the device is more compact and weighs less.
βDeliveries of a new matrix for space radars will be carried out within the framework of the national project βInternational Cooperation and Exportβ. In the new model of radars, the matrix of our production will replace expensive foreign analogues. Devices with such characteristics will be used in the civilian sphere for the first time,β Rostec said.
