A study conducted by MTS suggests that demand for smart watches for children has increased sharply among Russians.
With the help of smart watches, parents can control the location and movement of their children. In addition, such gadgets allow young users to make phone calls to a limited number of dials and send a distress signal. It is these features that attract adults.
So, it is reported that in the first nine months of this year, the inhabitants of our country purchased almost four times - 3,8 times - more children's smart watches than a year earlier. Specific figures, alas, are not given, but it is already clear that the demand for these gadgets among Russians has increased dramatically.
Most often, parents buy smart watches for children under the age of eight. In this case, gadgets are used in kindergartens and elementary schools, where there are restrictions on the use of smartphones.
Teenagers aged 11-15 receive classic smartwatches and fitness bracelets from their parents. Such devices serve as a fashion accessory and also help to collect sports information.
More than 65% of children and teenagers who own smartwatches use them daily. There is also a 25 percent increase in the duration of calls through such devices.
