MSI announced four GeForce GTX 1660 series graphics accelerators at once: the models presented were named GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming X 6G, GeForce GTX 1660 Armor 6G OC, GeForce GTX 1660 Ventus XS 6G OC and GeForce GTX 1660 Aero ITX 6G OC.
The new products are based on the NVIDIA Turing generation TU116 chip. The configuration provides for the presence of 1408 CUDA cores and 6 GB of GDDR5 memory with a 192-bit bus. For reference products, the base frequency of the chip core is 1530 MHz, the increased frequency is 1785 MHz. The memory operates at an effective frequency of 8000 MHz.
The GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming X 6G accelerator is factory overclocked with a maximum GPU frequency of 1860 MHz. Implemented multi-color illumination Mystic Light RGB. The seventh generation Twin Frozr cooler is used, which includes two TORX 3.0 fans.
The GeForce GTX 1660 Armor 6G OC card has a core frequency of up to 1845 MHz. The cooling system uses two TORX 2.0 fans. Thanks to Zero Frozr technology, the fans stop completely at low load.
The GeForce GTX 1660 Ventus XS 6G OC model also has overclocking: the core frequency is up to 1830 MHz. The cooling system uses two TORX 2.0 fans.
Finally, the GeForce GTX 1660 Aero ITX 6G OC accelerator operates at up to 1830 MHz. With a shorter design and a single fan cooler, this solution is suitable for compact PCs and media centers.
