Analytical company RedMonk a new edition of the ranking of programming languages, built on the basis of an assessment of the combination of popularity on GitHub with the activity of discussions on Stack Overflow. Of the most notable changes, Rust has entered the top 20 most popular languages and Haskell has been pushed out of the top twenty. Compared to the last edition published half a year ago, also moving C++ to fifth place, moving Scala from 14th to 13th place. R has moved from 13th to 14th place, the Java language has lost one position and ended up in third place (in the previous ranking it shared second place with Python).
